Introduction to Mera Ration 2.0

The Mera Ration 2.0 is a mobile application designed for the citizens to access their Public Distribution System (PDS) benefits and entitlements. The app is a part of the “One Nation One Card (ONORC)”, which aims to make a card system all over India to make it easier to distribute subsidised food, an essential commodity under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY).

Purpose of Mera Ration 2.0

Mera Ration card 2.0 applications provide the full information about the cardholder and services related to any member of your family digitally. It facilitates remote ration card services like registration, updates, and family management without visiting offices, empowers migrant workers by enabling ration portability across states, links ration cards with Aadhaar for secure and streamlined distribution, providing transaction history and real-time availability of rations at nearby shops. It improves convenience through mobile number updates and fraud prevention measures.

What is Mera Ration 2.0 App?

The Mera Ration 2.0 App is a digital platform introduced by the Government of India on August 9, 2024, to streamline the process of ration card services. It allows all Indian citizens, especially migrant workers, to access various Public Distribution System (PDS) services easily.
With the help of Mera Ration Card 2.0 App, any citizen of India can make any changes instantly to their handset device. We can add new members, update mobile numbers, check ration card status, complete the E-KYC process, download a digital ration card, link a ration card with Aadhaar, etc., from anywhere with remote access. It makes an easy family management process.

Now in all over India ration cardholders under NFSA by enabling them to lift eligible food grains from any nearest Fair Price Shop (FPS) anywhere in the country using their same/existing NFSA ration card after Biometric or Aadhaar authentication through Electronic Point of Sale (ePoS) device. Under the scheme, beneficiaries will continue to get rice, wheat and other grains at the rate of Rs. 3, Rs. 2 and Rs. 1 per kg respectively in other states.

e Ration Card is a PDF format of Digital Ration Card, issued by the authority under the Food and Supplies Department, Government of West Bengal. e-Ration Card has the same validity as printed digital ration card and can be used to draw food grains and kerosene oil under a public distributor system for the fair-price shop.

Beneficiaries who have linked their Aadhaar number and mobile number with their ration card are eligible for e-Ration Card.

e-RC shall have the same rights and privileges as Digital Ration Card.

  • e-RC can be verified online anytime by anyone through the embedded QR code, as well as from official website of the Deptt. by entering the e-Ration Card No.
  • e-Ration Card holder can download a copy of his e-Ration Card from the website at
  • The beneficiaries will be able to visit the Ration Shop to avail the food grains from next working day of approval.
  • The e-Ration Card holder will not be required to carry his Digital Ration Card in physical / paper format to receive food grains in a Ration Shop. He can carry a copy of e-Ration Card printed on a plain paper or show a soft copy e-Ration Card on his mobile phone to receive the food grains from the Ration Shop
